Join Dementia Research is a service which allows people to register their interest in participating in dementia research and be matched to suitable studies, developed by the National Institute for Health Research in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, Alzheimer’s Research UK and Alzheimer’s Society.

While Brains for Dementia research is no longer registering potential donors, the UK Brain Banks Network has information on other Brain Bank locations who may be accepting new donor registrations.
The European Prevention of Alzheimer’s Dementia Consortium is a Europe-wide initiative aiming to identify the very early changes that take place in the brain in dementia, so that future projects can try to intervene to stop people developing dementia. EPAD is looking to recruit people from existing cohorts, such as Brains for Dementia Research, but also people not yet part of a cohort, and are recruiting through trial delivery centres as well as Join Dementia Research.
